I decided to go to medical school because I emulated my own general practitioner.
I attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Lebanon Valley College and graduated in 1972. I attended the University of Pennsylvania school of Medicine and graduated in 1976 I did a Family Practice residency at Harrisburg General Hospital in Pennsylvania. I moved to North Carolina in 1979 and have practiced in Cary most of my career. I recently practiced in Clayton North Carolina for the last four years but now I will be returning to the Holly Springs/Cary area.
I have four sons, as well as an adopted son and a stepdaughter. I have four grandsons and two granddaughters. When my sons were growing up, I was busy coaching and attending many ball games. They played soccer baseball and basketball. Now my grandsons are beginning to do this. At one time I was pretty good athlete myself, and I continue to play golf and ping pong of all things. I also very much enjoy listening to music, and I wish I could sing better but I often sing as I’m driving my sports car which is my other passion.
